Will Michigan expand Medicaid? It could be decision day at state Capitol

LANSING – Today could be the day that Michigan lawmakers ultimately decide whether to expand government health insurance to more than 400,000 additional people.

Gov. Rick Snyder cut short a trade trip to Israel to be in Lansing for Thursday’s legislative session – likely the last before a scheduled summer break that will eat up much of July and August. Snyder was at the Capitol on Thursday, lobbying for Medicaid expansion.
